Taking into account the sharp drop in the water level in the Caspian Sea and the long-term operation of its equipment, a new water pumping station has been built at a distance of 750 meters from the pier, which makes it possible to take cold water from a depth of 5 meters into the sea, in order to get out of the existing situation and save the station. The new pumping station, built on the pier to gradually supply cooling water to the power plant, is considered the first trial of thermal energy application and has been implemented in Azerbaijan.
